Our name and logo
The land the club sits on in Leaside Park was part of the original Thorncliffe Park Raceway. The racetrack operated from 1917 until 1953, east of Millwood Road, south of Eglinton Avenue East and north of the CPR tracks.
The horseshoe in the club logo pays homage to that history.
Mission
To give members of the community a chance to develop tennis skills in an environment that promotes sportsmanship, friendship and fun.
The club encourages participation by players of all ages, levels and abilities.
TPTC Tennis Starter Program
Thorncliffe Public School, the Thorncliffe Park Tenants Association, the Thorncliffe Neighbourhood Office and the club partnered to create affordable tennis lessons for local children.
The program has received Canadian Tire Jumpstart grants and support from friends of the club. Most recently, the club held a camp with TNO and Tennis Canada.
