City of Toronto tennis policy
Policy for Outdoor Community Tennis Club Operations
Sets out the broad outline of City policy for community tennis clubs. Approved by City Council in 2016.
Procedures and Guidelines
Adds operational detail for running community tennis clubs. First produced in fall 2017 and reviewed every 5 years or as Parks, Forestry and Recreation requires.

The Board
- Works with the management team on club goals and the club’s mission
- Manages club bylaws, policies and the member code of conduct
- Ensures full compliance with City of Toronto policies
- Handles accounting and legal responsibilities
Directors are elected or re-elected at the fall Annual General Meeting.

Honorary membership
The Board may grant an Honorary Membership, at its sole discretion, to recognize outstanding contributions or achievements related to TPTC or tennis. Honorary members receive all privileges of a full adult member.
