Matthew Baccarani
Tennis Director
Matt returns for his 10th season at TPTC. He played Division 1 college tennis, reaching national rankings of #60 in singles and #4 in doubles. Before college he was a National Champion in U18 Doubles and earned ATP points in singles and doubles.
He coached Genie Bouchard to her first professional tournament title and contributed to her Junior Wimbledon Doubles win.
Peter Marrack
Head Tennis Professional
Peter joined the club as Senior Tennis Professional in 2019 and helped grow the adult programs. He was previously a pro at York Racquets Club, Rosedale Tennis Club and Moore Park Tennis Club, and is Tennis Canada certified.
As a junior he reached a career-high ITF ranking of #207, then played on an NCAA Division 1 scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Karan Singh
Tennis Professional
Karan is a Tennis Canada Certified Club Professional-2 (CP2) with coaching and player-development experience in India and Canada.
He represented India at the ITF Seniors Masters World Tennis Championships in Miami (2018 and 2019) and took over the Monday and Thursday night adult clinics.
Janet Han
Tennis Professional
A certified Tennis Canada Instructor with years of tournament and league experience, Janet teaches private and group lessons for juniors and adults.
Ibarra Guevarra
Tennis Professional
A certified Tennis Canada instructor and TPA certified Instructor, Ibarra loves teaching beginner and intermediate players with fun games and drills.
Gary Hong
Tennis Professional · Clubhouse Director
Gary has been involved in tennis for over 30 years. He was certified in 2022, has taught the kids’ after-school program since 2023, and teaches beginners and intermediates.
